TURBOCARDS — Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the game TURBOCARDS (the "Game") processes. The data controller is STARXEN — a company registered in the Polish CEIDG register, tax ID (NIP) 8542455132, e-mail [email protected] ("we").

In short

  • The Game works offline and does not send us any data by itself: it does not connect to our servers and has no accounts, ads, analytics or trackers.
  • Everything the Game saves — settings, scores, achievements, saved games, game history — stays on your device.
  • We only receive data when you write to us yourself.

Data on your device

The Game stores settings, records, statistics, achievements, saved games and replays locally, in the Game's data folder (Windows: %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\TurboCards, macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/TurboCards, Linux and Steam Deck: ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/TurboCards, and on phones in the app's storage). We have no access to it. You can delete it by deleting that folder or the app.

Steam and app stores

In the Steam version, achievements, statistics and cloud saves (Steam Cloud, if you enable it) are handled by Valve Corporation under the Steam Privacy Policy: https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/. On phones, the app store (Google Play, App Store) may collect installation and crash data under its own policy and your system settings. We are not the controller of that data.

When you write to us

If you write to us at [email protected] (e.g. to report a bug) or at [email protected], we process your e-mail address and the content of your message to reply and fix the bug — based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep them as long as the matter requires and then delete them. Please do not include more personal data in your message than necessary.

Future online features

We may add optional online features to the Game in the future, e.g. a Daily Challenge downloaded from a server or submitting played deals for verification. The principles we follow:

  • Online features are off by default. You turn them on yourself in the Game, and before you do, the Game will show what data they send. You can turn them off at any time.
  • They will only send game data (e.g. the deal, moves, time, Game version, operating system) and a random identifier generated by the Game — not your name, Steam account or anything that would identify you. Like any server on the Internet, the server sees your IP address when you connect.
  • Before such a feature appears, we will add the details to this policy (what data, why, for how long, where) and publish it in the Game and at turbocards.net.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict processing and to object to processing — write to [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Children

The Game is suitable for all ages and does not collect data about players, including children.

Changes

We will publish a new version of this policy in the Game and at turbocards.net, with a new version date. The current version is always available at turbocards.net.

  • turbocards.net uses no cookies, ads or analytics.
  • The home page has a Steam store widget. Your browser loads it straight from store.steampowered.com when you scroll to it — Valve Corporation then gets the same data as on any visit to the store (including your IP address and Steam cookies) under the Steam Privacy Policy: https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/
  • The site language is part of the address (e.g. turbocards.net/en/). Your browser doesn't store anything for this site.
  • Like any server on the Internet, the website's server sees your IP address when you connect and may keep it in technical logs — only to keep the site running and secure.
